The house steps back from the street into a private backyard — pool, patio, and outdoor living space set under a canopy of mature trees. The main living spaces open directly onto this ground, so the boundary between inside and out stays loose through the seasons.

A rental suite occupies the level below, reached by its own driveway and a sunken patio entry — kitchen, living room, and two bedrooms, fully independent of the house above. On the second floor, deep glazing and private balconies extend each bedroom toward the same tree line, holding the connection to the landscape at a smaller, quieter scale.

Materially, the house reads in two parts: grey CMU grounds the main floor, with a red stucco volume set above it.
